Horror action game Frog Legs hops onto Steam

May 21, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Solo developer Elliott Dahle has announced the release of his amphibian horror action game Frog Legs on PC via Steam.  This short, story-driven game follows a common-or-garden frog as he runs, jumps and ribbits his way to escape his past. With Frogger-inspired arcade sections, boomer shooter action and an eerie storyline, Frog Legs is horror with a frog veneer.  Watch the launch trailer below…

In Frog Legs, players follow hero Carl and his friends as their normal amphibian lives are haunted by a tragic traffic-hopping, river log-leaping incident that happened many years ago. With the choice of either confronting or living with the horror of their past, players must help the froggy friends and try and stop the chaos without them croaking.

Players will need to guide Carl and his friends across perilous roads in 2D arcade-style gameplay, solve deviously designed puzzles and blast enemies with a Big Froggin’ Gun (aka the BFG) in good old-fashioned boomer shooter action. Lead the frogs to victory through a short story written by an experienced horror fiction writer.

Frog Legs features:

  • A carefully crafted storyline that can be completed relatively quickly.
  • Plenty of frog related humour.
  • Numerous jumpscares spread throughout the games 60 minute playtime.
  • Solve puzzles and investigate why the past has come back as an unfriendly reminder.

Frog Legs is available on Steam now for the bargain price of £2.49/ €2.99/ $2.99, and is currently available with a 15% launch discount.
