Adam Sandler returns as Happy Gilmore in new trailer for Netflix sequel

After 30 years, Adam Sandler returns to one of his most iconic roles as hockey player turned professional golfer Happy Gilmore. Netflix released a new trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, which will premiere on the streaming service July 25th, 2025. Watch the trailer below.

Sandler will be joined by Happy Gilmore original stars Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin and Ben Stiller as Hal. Newcomers for Happy Gilmore 2 include Bad Bunny, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Travis Kelce and Blake Clark with cameos from professional golfers John Daly, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Paige Spiranic.

Happy Gilmore 2 is directed by Kyle Newacheck (Murder Mystery) from a script by Tim Herlihy and Sandler. The writing duo are also producing alongside Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds with Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, Dennis Dugan, Barry Bernardi, David Bausch and Dan Bulla serving as executive producers.

Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on July 25th.
