Founder Access: New Era launches on EVE Frontier

June 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

CCP Games has announced the launch of Founder Access: New Era for space MMO EVE Frontier on PC and Mac. This major new update introduces new gameplay, content and Cycles. During IGN Live, CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson also debuted the cinematic trailer ‘The Ancient Dark’, showcasing the game’s dark sci-fi tone and themes of rebirth.  Watch this new trailer below….

Designed for PC and Mac, EVE Frontier drops players into a mysterious, player-driven galaxy as “Riders”—clones with no memory, no purpose and one mission: survive a hostile galaxy. These Riders must build shelters, forge Tribes and harvest resources to grow in power if they want to survive.

With the launch of Founder Access: New Era, the game steps out of closed alpha and into the public eye. That means no more restrictions on what can be shared and players are free to stream, share and talk about their experiences in the game. It also introduces Cycles, a seasonal progression system starting with Promised Lands. Players can complete missions, earn Grace and rise through the leaderboards with their Tribe.

At the PC Gaming Show, CCP provided a peek at the core survival systems, while the Future Games Show revealed Smart Assemblies—a feature that lets players customise structures and build new tools within the game world. Check them out here along with the trailer…

EVE Frontier is still in development, but with public access now open, it’s the perfect time to jump in and start shaping the galaxy.
