Trailer for dark comedy thriller Et Tu starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Malcolm McDowell

June 27, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its digital release this July, a trailer has arrived online for director Max Tzannes’ dark comedy thriller Et Tu.

Lou Diamond Phillips stars as Brent, a theatre director becoming increasingly angry with his awful production of Julius Caesar who finds himself pushed beyond the brink of murderous madness by the encouragement of a mysterious janitor (Malcolm McDowell). Check out the trailer below…

Brent is not a happy director. For weeks, he’s had to watch an awful play – his awful play. Adding insult to injury, he’s convinced his wife is having an affair with his idiot leading man. Fortunately for Brent, the theater’s Janitor has been mopping the stage long enough to know a dark secret that may help rid him of his troubles. That is, so long as he’s willing to get some blood on his hands.

The cast also includes Antwone Barnes, Isabella Blake-Thomas, Rachel Alig, Brennan Keel Cook, Trevor James, Jaclyn Mofid, Lanelle Scott, Zackry Colston , Timothy Patrick Cavanaugh , Evan James Henderson, Daniel Dasent, and J.R. Gomez.

Et Tu arrives on digital platforms on July 25th.
