Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affair has seen a little shake-up in its cast as Taylor Russell has exited her role as the main female lead, with Variety reporting that the vacancy is being filled by Andor’s Adria Arjona to star opposite Jordan.
The Thomas Crown Affair follows “a wealthy, thrill-seeking man who orchestrates a high-stakes robbery simply for the challenge, only to find himself entangled in a complex cat-and-mouse game with a brilliant investigator”. Jordan, who is also directing, will star as Thomas Crown while Arjona will play the investigator assigned to arrest him.
Arjona joins a cast that also includes Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Pilou Asbæk and Aiysha Hart. Branagh will play the villain while Gurira is Crown’s close confidante. The other roles are being kept under wraps.
The Thomas Crown Affair is currently filming in London with Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo producing for Outlier Society with Charles Roven for Atlas Entertainment.
The Thomas Crown Affair will be released on March 5th, 2027.
