Emma Thompson fights for her life in trailer for Dead of Winter

Vertical has released a trailer for director Brian Kirk’s (21 Bridges) upcoming thriller Dead of Winter.

Emma Thompson stars as a woman travelling alone through Northern Minnesota who is forced to stop to seek help when she becomes lost in a blizzard, but as she approaches a remote cabin she witnesses the kidnap of teenager and is forced to fight to save both the girl and her own life in the isolated wilderness.

Joining Emma Thompson in the cast are Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca, Gaia Wise, Cuan Hosty-Blaney, Dalton Leeb, Paul Hamilton, Lloyd Hutchinson, and Brian F. O’Byrne. Check out the trailer below…

Hit by a blizzard, a grief-stricken loner (Emma Thompson) gets lost among backroads near a Minnesotan lake and stops for help at a remote cabin in the woods. Here she discovers a young woman (Laurel Marsden) kidnapped by a desperate couple (Judy Greer, Marc Menchaca) who are armed and intent on murder. Isolated and without cell service, this unlikely hero realizes she is the woman’s only hope of survival.

Dead of Winter is set for release on September 26th.
