After launching our foray into the world of independent film with the release of The Baby in the Basket earlier this year, Flickering Myth is delighted to reveal the poster and first look images for our next collaboration with Shepka Productions and Jolliffe Productions, the suspense thriller Death Among the Pines.
Death Among the Pines stars Nicolette McKeown (Mercy Falls, Damaged), Nathan Shepka (Dead Before They Wake, The Baby in the Basket), Stephen Kerr (The Defender, The Reign of Queen Ginnarra) and Olly Bassi (Dick Dynamite: 1944, Masters of the Air).
The film follows Angela (McKeown), who lives in peace in the Scottish countryside, sharing a farmhouse with her husband (Bassi). One night during a particularly bad storm and while her husband is away on work, there is a knock at the door.
There stands Kevin (Shepka), shivering and wet claiming his tyre is busted and he’s stranded in the storm. Angela warily lets him in to shelter for a while but with the phonelines down, she has no choice but to let him stay the night.
Soon there is another knock at the door; a police officer (Kerr) who is conducting a manhunt. Angela begins to put two and two together. Could she be harbouring a killer and fugitive from the law or is there more to it than that?

Death Among the Pines is directed by Nathan Shepka from a script by Tom Jolliffe (The Baby in the Basket, Cinderella’s Revenge). Shepka and Jolliffe also produce alongside Gary Collinson of Flickering Myth, while executive producers include Sanatan Kadakia, Kira Reed and Nick Redmond.
Death Among the Pines will release early 2026 with the trailer set to premiere later this year.
