Anne Hathaway’s next project will be Fear Not, a limited series for Paramount+ based on a true crime that was given focus in an article for Vanity Fair.
Bash Doran (Boardwalk Empire) is adapting the Vanity Fair article into the series. Fear Not will follow “prolific serial killer Stephen Morin and Margy Palm (Hathaway), a Texas woman who was his last abductee. Morin’s abduction of Palm, which started as a deadly captive situation, took an unlikely turn: one which included compassion, prayer and profound courage. Palm’s devotion to her faith and her insistence that Morin could be transformed, became the impetus of a relationship that lasted long after Palm was returned to safety — until Morin received the death penalty.”
The series will begin production this year for a 2027 premiere on Paramount’s streaming service with MGM Television producing.
“At Paramount+, we are always looking for stories that captivate and entertain our audience, and this series will do exactly that,” said Jane Wiseman, Paramount+’s head of originals. “By grounding this chilling true story in the lived experience of our protagonist, Anne is bringing a level of nuance and gravity to the screen that only a performer of her caliber can. We are thrilled to collaborate with Anne, Bash and the rest of this illustrious team and we can’t wait for viewers to see what is sure to be an enthralling limited series.”
Hathaway will be seen next of two of the summer’s most anticipated films. She will first star in The Devil Wears Prada II with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt 20 years after starring in the original film, and then in Christopher Nolan’s Greek epic The Odyssey.
