Live-action Masters of the Universe teaser reveals first footage ahead of official trailer

January 21, 2026 by Gary Collinson

With its official trailer set to land tomorrow, Amazon and Sony have shared a brief teaser for the long-gestating Masters of the Universe live-action movie reboot, which offers our first look at Nicholas Galitzine’s Prince Adam (a.k.a. He-Man) alongside Teela (Camila Mendes), Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), Roboto (Kristen Wiig) and Cringer; get yourself an early sneak peek below…

“Masters of the Universe follows 10-year old Prince Adam, who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man, the most powerful man in the Universe.”

Directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee), Masters of the Universe features a cast that includes Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto.
