HBO Max has released the first trailer for its upcoming dramedy Rooster starring Steve Carell, Charly Clive, Phil Dunster and John C. McGinley, which is set to premiere in March. Watch the trailer below…
Rooster is “a comedy set on a college campus centering on an author’s (Carell) complicated relationship with his daughter (Charly Clive).” The series follows Carell’s character looking in on his daughter during her divorce following her husband’s affair with a grad student. He takes up a teaching position where he butts head with his former son-in-law and befriends some of his students who liken him to the main character in his novels by the name of Rooster.
The series was created by Scrubs‘ Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses. In addition to the above cast, it also also features Danielle Deadwyler, Lauren Tsai, Connie Britton, Robby Hoffman, Annie Mumolo, Alan Ruck and Rory Scovel.
Rooster will premiere on March 8th.
