Atomfall TV series in development from Rebellion and Two Brothers

May 4, 2026 by Gary Collinson

Rebellion’s vision of a post-apocalyptic UK is heading to the small screen, with Two Brothers Pictures announcing that it is teaming with the studio to develop a TV series adaptation of the BAFTA-winning action survival video game Atomfall.

Set in an alternate reality where the 1957 Windscale nuclear accident covered much of the Lake District in radioactive fallout, leading to the establishment of a walled, militarised Quarantine Zone, Atomfall follows a protagonist who wakes up inside the Quarantine Zone with no memory of how they arrived and soon finds themselves entangled in a web of competing factions.

“Atomfall has such a distinctive British tone and setting, and it’s been a real joy developing it alongside the Rebellion team – especially as two brothers working alongside two brothers (Jason Kingsley CBE and Chris Kingsley CBE – co-founders of Rebellion),” said Emmy and Golden Globe-winning writers and producers Harry and Jack Williams (Fleabag, The Tourist). “There’s something very exciting about expanding this strange, unsettling story for television.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with Two Brothers to bring the world of Atomfall to television,” added Rebellion’s Jason and Chris Kingsley, who will also executive produce the series. “Harry and Jack demonstrated a clear love for Atomfall and talked about their own particular endings when they were playing the game. It is always exciting to work with people who share the same passion for creating and telling great stories and we are sure that this partnership will help to deliver a television series that will delight fans of the game and beyond.”

The Atomfall TV series will be co-produced by Two Brothers alongside Rebellion, the latter of which also has an adaptation of its 2000 AD comic strip Rogue Trooper incoming from director Duncan Jones (Moon, Warcraft). You can watch the Rogue Trooper teaser trailer here.
