Casting continues on Starz’s upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, with TV Line reporting that Crispin Glover (Texas Rising) and Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom) signing on to the show.
Keeping it as spoiler free as possible, Tucker is playing Low-Key Lyesmith, who is described as a “wiry and fast-talking, with an offbeat sense of humor [who] has a theory for everything and gives Shadow (Ricky Whittle) some sage advice to ready him for the outside world.” Glover will portray Mr. World, the leader of the New Gods, who is “sometimes more challenged by his own subordinates than his enemies.”
American Gods has been adapted by Bryan Fuller (Hannibal) and Michael Green (Green Lantern), and features a cast that also includes Ricky Whittle (The 100) as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane (Deadwood) as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning (Sucker Punch) as Laura Moon, Sean Harris (The Borgias) as Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki (Aquarius) as Bilquis, the Queen of Sheba and newcomer Bruce Langley as The Technical Boy.
