Deadline is reporting that Adam DeVine (Pitch Perfect 2, The Intern) is set to star and co-write the upcoming romantic comedy When We First Met.

DeVine, who also feature’s in this summer’s Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates with Zac Efron, is a writer on television series Workaholics but When We First Met would be his first film writing gig. In addition, Baywatch star Alexandra Daddario is to co-star in the film.

The project will reportedly follow DeVine as Noah, a man “who spends the perfect first night with the girl of his dreams (Daddario) but gets relegated to the friend zone. He spends the next three years wondering what went wrong — until he gets the unexpected chance to travel back in time and alter that night, and his fate, over and over again.”

Ari Sandel (The Duff) is set to direct.
