Expect to see some footage from Wolverine 3 soon

September 12, 2016 by Luke Owen

It’s been a while since we heard anything about the production of Wolverine 3 since it wrapped last month, but director James Mangold has said we could see some footage soon.

Taking to Twitter to answer a fan’s question, Mangold said, “Working on it every day in edit room. You’ll hear and see things very soon.” When that soon might be is another question.

Working on it every day in edit room, Vince. You'll hear and see things very soon. Glad you're pumped & I hope we surprise you.

Rumoured to be titled Weapon X or The Death of Logan, Wolverine 3 is also rumoured to feature Mister Sinister and a young X-23. It will be the last film to feature Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, and presumably the last outing for Patrick Stewart as Professor X.

Wolverine 3 is being helmed by The Wolverine director James Mangold and will see Hugh Jackman joined in the cast by Patrick Stewart as Professor X, along with new additions Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Elise Neal. It is set for release on March 3rd, 2017.
