Tom Hiddleston teases Doctor Strange’s role in Thor: Ragnarok

January 10, 2017 by Samuel Brace

We recently got a new synopsis and behind the scenes image for the upcoming Marvel sequel Thor: Ragnarok, and now Tom Hiddleston has spoken out regarding news that Doctor Strange will be making an appearance in the film.

Speaking to MTV, Loki himself was playing pretty coy with major details, but Hiddleston did provide his general thoughts about the state of play.

“Doctor Strange has very intensely cerebral, time-bending powers,” said Hiddleston. “At the end of Thor: The Dark World, Loki’s on the throne. What happened to Odin? So maybe Doctor Strange has to help out with that particular conundrum…”

So perhaps a clashing of minds between Loki and Strange could be on the cards – a meeting that is sure to rally excitement. We will have to wait for more details of course but Flickering Myth will be sure to keep you updated when future news drops.

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk.

Thor: Ragnarok is being directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) and features Marvel veterans Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange alongside Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge and Sam Neill in an as-yet-unrevealed role. It is set for release on November 3rd, 2017.
