Marvel Studios is gearing up to go into production on its hugely-ambitious Avengers: Infinity War, bringing together the majority of the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes do battle against the Mad Titan Thanos.
One of the newcomers to the Avengers roster will be Doctor Strange, and if a new rumour from The Daily Mail is to be believed, Marvel will be employing some movie magic to insert Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme into the superhero epic.
It seems that scheduling difficulties will prevent Cumberbatch from shooting the film alongside the rest of the cast, given that he is currently in London shooting The Current War, which sees him starring as Thomas Edison. Instead, Marvel has reportedly hired Aaron Lazar (The Wolf of Wall Street) to serve as a stand-in on set, with Cumberbatch then reshooting all close-ups and recording his dialogue after the rest of the cast have wrapped.

Avengers: Infinity War is set for release on May 2nd 2018, followed by Avengers 4 on May 3rd, 2019.
