Fox’s X-Men series Gifted looks likely for a series order, as does The CW’s Black Lightning

April 13, 2017 by Samuel Brace

After the success of FX’s Legion – the visually dynamic show from Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, revolving around the son of Professor X – it seems likely that Fox will give a green light to another X-Men themed project.

Gifted is about two ordinary parents that are forced to go on the run when they discover that their children are actually mutants. The series pilot is set to be directed by none other than Bryan Singer.

And according to reports from Deadline Hollywood, the early buzz is good for the show, it’s being received well by the people in power, and looks likely to be picked up for a full season.

The going also looks good for the CW/DC show Black Lightning which has been called a “hot prospect”.

Whether Gifted will actually make the cut however will remain to be seen, but with the success of Legion, and some nice early buzz, it’s looking good for the series.
