July 28, 2017 by Ricky Church

Marco Polo’s Chin Han has joined the cast of the action thriller Skyscraper. Deadline reports he will star alongside Dwayne Johnson and Neve Campbell with Rawson Marshall Thurber directing. Han most recently starred in the live action Ghost in the Shell earlier this year and is also known for his roles in The Dark Knight and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Johnson and Thurber are reteaming after working together on the spy comedy Central Intelligence while Neve Campbell is just coming off Netflix’s most recent season of House of Cards. Johnson will also serve as en executive producer under his Steve Bucks Productions company. The film will be released on July 12, 2018.

UPDATE: It’s also been announced that Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange Is the New Black) has also boarded the project.

Skyscraper sees Johnson as Will, a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in Hong Kong, he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must team up with the building’s visionary owner & designer to find those responsible and rescue his family who are trapped inside the building.
