New image from Marvel’s The Punisher features Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle in full costume

August 21, 2017 by George Chrysostomou

Following on from the recent release of the first teaser for Netflix’s The Punisher series starring Jon Bernthal, we now have our first look at the violent anti-hero in full costume, complete with classic white skull.

First introduced in Daredevil season 2, we have not seen this costumed vigilante since he left to carve out his own brutal path in his quest to learn more about his past. Despite it being heavily rumoured that Frank Castle would make an appearance in Marvel’s most recent Netflix adventure, The Defenders, we were instead treated to a teaser for the upcoming series about the take-no-prisoners gunslinger.

Whilst not much is known about the series for now (including the exact release date) it is set to introduce Castle’s right hand man Micro and features Karen Page’s return. Starkly different from the other heroic members of Netflix’s roster, there is no doubt that tonally, The Punisher will be something truly unique.

And as the image above shows, The Punisher looks set for war, in an excellent adaption of the classic comic character’s costume. What do you think about this new reveal? Let us know in the comments below…

The Punisher features a cast that includes Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Ben Barnes (Billy Russo), Jason R Moore (Curtis Hoyle), Michael Nathanson (Sam Stein), Daniel Webber (Lewis Walcott), Amber Rose Revah (Dinah Madani), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Micro), Jaime Ray Newman (Sarah Lieberman), Paul Schulze (Bill Rawlins) and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
