Another member of the Rogues set to appear in The Flash

August 6, 2014 by Gary Collinson

The producers of the upcoming Arrow spin-off The Flash are wasting little time in building an impressive Rogues gallery for Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen, with TV Line reporting that episode six of the series will introduce Tony Woodward – a.k.a. Girder – as a recurring character.

In the comics, Girder was a steelworker who gained near invunerability after being exposed to S.T.A.R. Labs waste, while the series will depict him as a childhood bully of Barry’s and “a grinning lunkhead who loves destruction [and an] unstoppable force who can transmute any part of his body into solid steel.”

Girder is the third member of the DC villain team The Rogues to appear in The Flash, with Chad Rook (Cult) portraying Weather Wizard in the pilot and Wentworth Miller (Prison Break) set to appear as Captain Cold.
