The Guild 3 arrives on Early Access, follow the commoner’s dream in new trailer

September 27, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Life in the Middle Ages wasn’t easy, especially if you were a peasant but if you want to find out for yourself how difficult life was then you will be excited to hear that THQ Nordic and GolemLabs have announced the Early Access release of their latest title, The Guild 3.  Also released today is a new trailer that follows a poor lumberjack on his path to fortune and glory, watch this below…

In The Guild 3 players travel to Medieval Europe where you can experience life in the shoes of a lowly commoner and work your way up the ladder to become the owner of a successful dynasty.  Players will be able to acquire businesses and properties, produce and trade goods, get involved in politics, fight through troubled times and even find the love of your avatar’s life.

The Guild 3 features:

  • AI System: The new AI system in The Guild 3 is based on the adaptive “EHE” system (Evolutive Human Emulator), created by GolemLabs. With this the AI is learning from own activities as well from the behavior from other players.
  • Societies: In The Guild 3 the societies can be compared to very powerful social clubs. Some of them, like the freemasons or the craftmans’ guild, are publicly known, others, such as the thieves’ guild or the brotherhood of light, are kept secret.
  • Huge Replay-Value: The AI as well as the different and unique scenario settings make every map look, feel and play differently.
  • Multiplayer with up to 16 Players via Internet and/or LAN: Custom multiplayer and connection to other The Guild 3 players, no matter where they bought the game.
  • Scenarios: The player can choose between 12 scenarios: Augsburg, Barony of Birmingham, Kingdom of Bohemia, The Netherlands, Duchy of Burgundy, Archbishopric of Magdeburg, The Hanseatic League, The mighty City of London, Vienna and Presporok, Hanseatic city of Visby, Paris and Mazovia.

The Guild 3 is available now on both GOG and Steam. THQ plans for The Guild 3 to be on Early Access for around 6 months before full release.
