Ben Affleck has had a lot to say regarding the tonal-shift that we will see with Batman in the so-close-to-release Justice League film. A lot of that has to do with Superman, who he views as a martyr, but some of the character changes may be the result of simplyhaving a great cast to play off of. Speaking to Access Hollywood, Affleck describes a really positive atmosphere:
“Everybody got along and I think it comes across in the movie. You see the comradery of this group. You root for them to come together and a part of that is we all genuinely like each other and had complementary personalities and skillsets as these heroes and that was just a lot of fun. It was much more fun than the last movie because I had all these people to play with.”
It feels like it is officially okay to get excited for Justice League. All signs seem to point to this film being a far-cry from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and there is a good chance this film will appeal to a wider audience. Also, recent test-screenings reportedly garnered reactions similar to those of Wonder Woman. Which we know turned out pretty damn good. While only time will tell how Justice League will fare, there is plenty of hope to be had right now.
