Stan Lee says a Black Widow movie will happen one day

November 12, 2017 by Gary Collinson

It’s long been requested by fans, and if Stan Lee is to be believed, it’s only a matter of time before we get to see the Black Widow headlining her own solo Marvel movie.

According to Comic Book, Lee was taking part in a panel at the Supanova Comic Con in Brisbane, where he stated that: “One day there will be a Black Widow movie.”

Now, of course, this isn’t exactly confirmation that a Black Widow movie is incoming from Marvel Studios, and most likely is just Lee sharing his personal opinion, rather than insider information.

With that being said, Scarlett Johansson has stated on a number of occasions that she has talked to Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige about the possibility of a Black Widow movie, and has said it is “just a cast of timing at this point”.

With female superheroes now all the rage after the box office success of Wonder Woman, it wouldn’t be surprised if Natasha finds herself starring in her very own adventure as part of Phase Four. In the meantime however, we do have two further Black Widow appearances to look forward to in Avengers: Infinity War and the as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.
