Play Hyper Universe for free on Steam Early Access this weekend

Nexon America has announced that their side scrolling brawler, Hyper Universe, has entered a Free Weekend event on Steam Early Access.  This is the final time the game will have a free weekend and to celebrate there will be a limited time Steam discount available.  The free weekend will run until the 19th December.

As well as the free weekend a new content update has been released and features:

  • New Bruiser class Hyper – Hongdukei will club his opponents in the head or toss them to the ground.  His special ability will capture his enemies with his special gourd and dropped anywhere on the map.
  • Ranked Mode Map – A new competitive mode offering special rewards kicks off Season 0.  This new ranked system splits players into skill brackets ranging from Rookie to Grandmaster levels.  The ranked mode will be available until 20th December.
  • Christmas themed maps plus special Christmas themed skins such as Special Sapitelbub’s Snowy Santa Slayer and Aisha Snowy Santa.

“We were excited to offer our passionate community the opportunity to join Hyper Universe’s Early Access period, allowing them to test the game and provide their valuable feedback,” said Jungsoo Lee, General Manager of Nexon America. “The development team has made great strides since beginning the process and remain committed to supporting Hyper Universe through launch and beyond. We’re looking forward to getting the final game into the hands of our loyal fans and new players soon after gathering feedback from this important test period.”

Hyper Universe is free to play this weekend on Steam Early Access, make sure you take advantage of the special 50% discount which is available until 4th January.
