The CW renews Supergirl, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow and Black Lightning

April 2, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Good news for fans of The CW’s DC television shows, as the network has officially announced early renewals for Supergirl (season four), The Flash (season five), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (season four), Arrow (season seven) and Black Lightning (season two).

In addition to the DC shows, The CW has also renewed Riverdale (season three), Jane the Virgin (season five), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (season four), Dynasty (season two) and Supernatural (season fourteen).

“As The CW expands to a six-night, Sunday-through-Friday schedulenext season, we are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19,” states the CW president Mark Pedowitz. “By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come. And I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”

According to Deadline, The CW is looking to expand its schedule for the new season, which may include the addition of more DC shows.
