Games publication CVG is shutting down

December 19, 2014 by Tom Powter

Future Publishing has announced that ComputerandVideoGames.com, the official website for the CVG brand, will close.

The brand has existed since 1981, and began as a magazine called Computer and Video Games. Gamesradar+ will be taking on board some existing CVG content in February 2015, according to MCV.

Declan Gough, head of content and marketing at Future Games, Music and Film, said the online audiences of Edge, Official PlayStation, Total Xbox and CVG will all be folded into Gamesradar+.

CVG’s former editor has said that none of the current employees will switch to working for Gamesradar+, which is now hiring.  We at Flickering Myth wish the very best of luck for the future to those affected.
