Bryan Singer has taken to Instagram to announce that Lucas Till is set to reprise his role as Alex Summers / Havok in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse, with the actor joining an ever growing list of characters in the mutant superhero sequel.
Till made his debut as Havok in 2011’s Matthew Vaughn-directed X-Men: First Class, and also returned for a brief cameo under Bryan Singer last year in X-Men: Days of Future Past. His appearance in Apocalypse means we’ll be seeing Alex and Scott Summers (a.k.a. Cyclops) sharing the big screen for the very first time, with Tye Sheridan (Mud) set to play the younger Summers brother.
X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 19th, 2016 and stars X-Men veterans James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) and Lucas Till (Havok) alongside Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Apocalypse, Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan (Mud) as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp (House of Anubis) as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Nightcrawler, Ben Hardy (EastEnders) as Angel, Olivia Munn (Magic Mike) as Psylocke and newcomer Lana Condor as Jubilee.
