The Walking Dead season 4 finale enjoys record ratings

People really like The Walking Dead. In fact, a record breaking 15.7 million people tuned into watch the season 4 finale of the hit zombie series on Sunday evening, with 1.01 million show-related tweets from 356,770 individual authors. AMC also continued its good run of form with companion aftershow Talking Dead earning a series record of 7.3 million viewers.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has also revealed that Tara (Alanna Masterson), Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Gareth (Andrew J. West) are all returning with expanded roles in season five. Each of them have now been upped to series regulars, and it will be interesting to see their roles develop into something with far more meat on them.
