It’s a good day to be a fan of DC Comics television adaptations. Just after news broke that CBS had granted Supergirl a series order, the CW has announced a season two renewal for the DC/Vertigo Comics adaptation of iZombie.
What’s not yet known is when the second season is expected to debut; iZombie premiered midseason just two months ago, and will wrap its ten-episode freshman year on May 19th.
iZombie is just the latest of The CW’s shows to get a renewal, the others being Arrow, The Flash, The 100, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Reign, Beauty and the Beast, Masters of Illusion and Jane the Virgin.
Based on the Vertigo comic from Chris Roberson and Mike Allred, iZombie was developed for TV by Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, and stars Rose McIver.
