A straight-to-video Eraser reboot has wrapped filming

September 18, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has already wrapped filming on a straight-to-video reboot of the 1997 Arnold Schwarzenegger action vehicle Eraser, and post-production is underway ahead of a release in early 2022.

Titled Eraser: Reborn, the new film has been directed by John Pogue (The Quiet Ones, Deep Blue Sea 3), and sees Dominic Sherwood (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) leading a cast that includes Jacky Lai (V-Wars), McKinley Belcher III (Ozark) and Eddie Ramos (Animal Kingdom).

The original Eraser, directed by Chuck Russell, saw Arnie portraying John Kruger, a U.S. Marshal working for the Witness Security Protection Program, an agency specialising in “erasing” high profile witnesses. The reboot will see Sherwood performing similar duties as U.S. Marshal Mason Pollard.

Look for Eraser: Reborn in Spring 2022.
