Adam Driver set to join Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky, Seth MacFarlane also in talks

May 12, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Adam Driver is set to join the cast of Logan Lucky, the new film from formerly retired director Steven Soderbergh.

Driver’s Midnight Special co-star Michael Shannon was due to feature in the film but due to scheduling conflicts the actor has had to drop out. In addition to Driver, Family Guy and Ted creator/star Seth MacFarlane is also reportedly in talks to join the cast, which already has Channing Tatum (Magic Mike XXL) and Riley Keough (The Girlfriend Experience) in its ranks.

Soderbergh had previously stated a few years ago that he war retiring from directing films, but the script has seemingly won him over for him to return for the first time since 2013’s Side Effects and Behind The Candelabra. The new film revolves around “brothers who plan a crime during a NASCAR race.”
