Agent Carter season 3 “highly unlikely”, ABC also “cooling” on Marvel’s Most Wanted

May 5, 2016 by Gary Collinson

During an article on the broadcast networks’ 2016-17 TV schedule, The Hollywood Reporter has been speaking about the chances of Marvel’s Agent Carter getting a renewal, and if you were hoping to see Hayley Atwell back for more adventures as Peggy, then it makes for disappointing reading.

The site is reporting that Agent Carter, which finished its second season back at the start of March, is “considered highly unlikely” to pick up a season three renewal, freeing Atwell up for her new pilot Conviction, which is expected to be picked up.

Meanwhile, the same article states that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff pilot Marvel’s Most Wanted may not be as wanted by ABC as the title would suggest, as interest “has been cooling and some say it’s not considered the lock it once was.”

ABC has renewed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a fourth season, so that show’s future is secure, while the network is also working on a mystery Marvel project with John Ridley, as well as the single-camera comedy Damage Control.
