American Born Chinese trailer reunites Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu

Disney has debuted the first trailer for the upcoming small screen adaptation of Gene Luen Yang’s graphic novel American Born Chinese which stars Academy Award winners Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan and Oscar-nominee Stephanie Hsu from Everything Everywhere All At Once; watch it below…

Based on the genre-hopping graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang, American Born Chinese follows Jin Wang, an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his immigrant home life. When he meets a new foreign student at school two worlds collide into one epic adventure…

The series stars Ben Wang (Sight) as Jin Wang, Yann Yann Yeo (Wet Season) as Christine Wang, Chin Han (Skyscraper) as Simon Wang, Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Freddy Wong, Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Shiji Niangniang, Ching Liu as Wei-Chen (Light the Night), Sydney Taylor (Mystery City) as Amelia, Daniel Wu (Westworld) as Sun Wukong “The Monkey King” and Michelle Yeoh (Avatar: The Way of Water) as Guanyin.

American Born Chinese is coming to Disney+ this year.
