Apple TV+ renews Ted Lasso for third season

October 29, 2020 by Gary Collinson

It’s second season hasn’t even started production yet, but Apple TV+ has announced that it has already granted a season three renewal to its hit comedy series Ted Lasso starring Jason Sudeikis.

The series sees Sudeikis playing the titular Ted, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.

The first season of Ted Lasso arrived on Apple TV+ back in August and has been one of the streamer’s best received shows with both fans and critics.

Production on season two of Ted Lasso is set to get underway in London early in the New Year, with Sudeikis starring alongside Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed.
