Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow shake up their showrunners for new seasons

April 21, 2018 by Gary Collinson

The Arrowverse is set for a bit of a behind the scenes shake-up ahead of the new seasons of the DC shows later this year, with Deadline reporting that both Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow are changing up their showrunners.

Marc Guggenheim currently serves as co-showrunner on Arrow with Wendy Mericle and on Legends of Tomorrow with Phil Klemmer. However, he is vacating that position to become an executive consultant on both series, while Mericle is also departing Arrow.

As a result, Klemmer will now serve as the sole showrunner on Legends for its fourth season, while Arrow co-executive producer Beth Schwartz is being promoted to showrunner and executive producer for its seventh season.
