Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper returning as series regular in Arrow season 7

April 9, 2018 by Gary Collinson

After making his return to Star City this season for a guest appearance in two episodes of Arrow this year, Roy Harper is set to rejoin Team Arrow full time, with The CW announcing that Colton Haynes will star as a series regular in the recently announced seventh season of the DC superhero show.

“We’re very fortunate and excited to welcome back Colton to Arrow,” said the show’s executive producers (via TV Line). “While we’ve always enjoyed Colton’s returns to the show, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him return as a proper series regular — and we’re very excited about all the creative opportunities Roy Harper’s return affords us.”

“I could not be happier to return to my role as Roy Harper alongside my Arrow family,” added Haynes.

Colton Haynes debuted in the 15th episode of Arrow’s first season, reprising his role as a series regular in the second and third seasons and appearing in a guest role in one episode of season four.

Arrow was renewed by The CW last week along with fellow DC series The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and Black Lightning.
