Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 set to arrive in November

September 2, 2023 by Andrew Newton

Microids has announced that the strongest and most courageous Gauls of all time will be coming to gamers on PC and consoles on 30th November in Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All 2!  Get ready to be immersed in the entertaining world created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo by watching the new trailer below…

This 2D Beat’em Up follows the latest adventure of Asterix & Obelix as they set out to free Oceanonix after he is imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit.  The theft of the Aquila of Lutetia, a precious gold emblem of the Roman legions, needs to be found and Oceanonix needs to be freed and the only way for this to happen is with plenty of slapping from our two heroes.

Throughout the adventure, Asterix and Obelix will explore a variety of different locations across far flung lands, from mysterious forest ruins to majestic Lutetia itself.

Players will find plenty of enemies to slap and more than enough bosses that would scare lesser Gauls, but Asterix and Obelix have new specific moves that can be charged up to provide a much more powerful attack.  Our heroes can even activate a Fury mode which increases their strength and unleashes a devastating Ultimate attack.  There’s also the opportunity to destroy some parts of the environments and use those as throwables.  Nothing hits harder than a thrown menhir!

Players who tire of playing solo will also be able to join up with a friend and enjoy the colourful and energetic world of Asterix and Obelix together in co-op.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All 2! will be available digitally and in physical format on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC on 30th November.
