Microids and developer Mr Nutz Studio has announced that they will be releasing their upcoming Asterix & Obelix, Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! on 25th November on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC as well as being backwards compatible on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. This 2D beat’em up set in the Asterix universe takes players to Gaul in 50 B.C., a time when the Roman empire’s power was at its peak. Only one small village in Gaul holds out against the occupation and that is the home of our brave warriors Asterix and Obelix. With their home threatened, the heroes will travel to the most iconic places from the comic book series created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo and take on the rotten Roman legionaries, merciless pirates and the dreaded Normans.
Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! has been created to remain as faithful to the original material as possible and uses hand drawn scenery, characters and animation to create an art style that is very close to the comic books.
Players will also be able to join their friends for some local co-op fun.
Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! will launch on 25th November and be available in the following editions:
