Barry Keoghan and Christopher Abbott featured in first look at Bring Them Down

February 24, 2023 by Gary Collinson

With principal photography now in its final stages, MUBI has released a first look image from Bring Them Down featuring BAFTA-winning and Academy Award-nominated Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) alongside Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Catch-22).

The feature debut of Screen Star of Tomorrow writer and director Chris Andrews and co-starring Colm Meaney (Star Trek), Nora-Jane Noone (Wildfire), Paul Ready (The Terror) and Susan Lynch (Happy Valley), the synopsis for the film reads:

Michael (Christopher Abbott), the last son of a shepherding family, lives with his ailing father, Ray (Colm Meaney). Burdened by a terrible secret, Michael has isolated himself from the world. When a conflict with rival farmer Gary (Paul Ready) and his son Jack (Barry Keoghan) escalates, Michael is drawn into a devastating chain of events, forcing him to confront the horrors of his past and leaving both families permanently altered.
