Ben Hardy, Andie MacDowell and Alex Russell join Granite Mountain

June 8, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that X-Men: Apocalypse and EastEnders star Ben Hardy is set to join the cast of the upcoming firefighter drama Granite Mountain (formerly titled No Exit).

The film is based on the real-life of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, “an elite group of 20 firefighters who courageously battled one of the deadliest wildfires in history to save the homes and lives of other Arizonians. Nineteen of the men died heroes on that hill when the wind changed and fire engulfed them from all sides.”

In addition to Ben Hardy, it’s also being reported that Andie MacDowell (Cedar Cove) and Alex Russell (Chronicle) have signed on to appear, with the trio joining a stellar A-list cast that includes Josh Brolin (Sicario), Jeff Bridges (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Jennifer Connolly (Shelter), Miles Teller (Whiplash), Taylor Kitsch (True Detective) and James Badge Dale (The Walk). Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion) is directing.

Granite Mountain is set for release in 2017.
