Better Call Saul season 6 will change the way we look at Breaking Bad says creator

August 21, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Peter Gould, the creator of Better Call Saul, says that fans won’t be able to look at Breaking Bad in the same way after the sixth and final season of the prequel series.

Better Call Saul has featured numerous characters from Breaking Bad over the years and has already changed the way we look at certain events in the show, particularly those that feature Jimmy/Saul.

But what we’ve seen so far is nothing yet according to creator Peter Gould. In a recent interview with THR (via Screen Rant), Gould said that events of the sixth and final season will cause fans to look at Breaking Bad in a brand new way:

“I think by the time you finish watching Better Call Saul, you’re going to see Breaking Bad in a very different light. I think we’re going to learn things about the characters in Breaking Bad that we didn’t know. We’re going to learn things about the events of Breaking Bad that we didn’t know. And we’re going to learn things about the fates of a lot of these characters that may surprise people or certainly throw them into a different light.”

The fate of Jimmy – who survives the events of Breaking Bad – is something that fans are eager to see play out. But there are also the likes of Kim – who we don’t see in Breaking Bad – and veterans like Mike, Gus, and Hector who play big roles in the former series. So it’s going to be interesting to see the lay of the land come Better Call Saul’s final episode.
