Bill Skarsgård is caught up in OTT action and comedy in first Boy Kills World clips

February 25, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Like a one-two punch delivered by Bill Skarsgård’s revenge seeking protagonist, Lionsgate have followed up the trailer debut for Boy Kills World by releasing two first-look clips (via IGN) to get pulses racing for the forthcoming action-thriller.

Boy Kills World marks the feature directorial debut for Moritz Mohr, and stars Skarsgård as Boy, a man who was left orphaned, deaf and voiceless when his family were brutally murdered when he was a child. After training with a mysterious shaman, he is led by his inner voice on a bloody path of revenge.

Also starring Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Yayan Ruhian, Andrew Koji, Sharlto Copley and Famke Janssen, and featuring the voice talents of H. Jon Benjamin, you can check out the madness below…

Bill Skarsgård stars as “Boy” who avows revenge after his family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless. Driven by his inner voice, one which he co-opted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman (Yayan Ruhian) to become an instrument of death and is set loose on the eve of the annual culling of dissidents. Bedlam ensues as Boy commits bloody martial arts mayhem, inciting a wrath of carnage and blood-letting. As he tries to get his bearings in this delirious realm, Boy soon falls in with a desperate resistance group, all the while bickering with the apparent ghost of his rebellious little sister.

Boy Kills World arrives in cinemas on April 26th.
