Bluey: The Movie to be released August 2027

September 5, 2025 by Ricky Church

Bluey fans can start celebrating with Dance Mode as the feature film Bluey: The Movie has been given an August 2027 release date.

Bluey follows the life of Bluey and her family that includes her sister Bingo and parents Bandit and Chili. The series premiered in Australia in 2018, but since Disney made it available on their streaming service the show has blown up in popularity among both children and adults.

The show’s Instagram account announced the release date as August 6, 2027. Bluey: The Movie will feature the voices of Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack reprising their roles as Chili and Bandit alongside other cast members from the series.

Bluey creator Joe Brumm has written the script for the film. Last year after the show wrapped its third season with the special extra-length episode ‘The Sign’ followed by ‘Surprise!’, Brumm announced he would be stepping back from the series itself to focus on developing the film, though there has not been any news regarding a fourth season of the series or who would take over in Brumm’s stead since the announcement was made. While it’s small screen future remains uncertain, Bluey is still one of the most popular shows viewed on Disney+ with millions upon millions of minutes streamed.

With the August 6, 2027 date now placed on the calendar, Bluey: The Movie will come just a month after the recently announced Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow.

Bluey: The Movie will be released August 6, 2027.
