Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island reboot receives a PG-13 rating

January 14, 2020 by Liam Waddington

Blumhouse Productions’ Fantasy Island has received a PG-13 rating for their darker take on the original TV series – which is set for release on February 14th 2020.

The film has earned its PG-13 rating for “violence, terror, drug content, suggestive material, and brief strong language.”

In Blumhouse’s new spin on Fantasy Island, the enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

Fantasy Island sees Michael Pena (Ant-Man) taking on the role of Mr. Roarke, played by Ricardo Montalbán in the original series, and also features Dave Bautista (Avengers: Infinity War), Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare), Jimmy O. Yang (Crazy Rich Asians), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars), Portia Doubleday (Mr. Robot), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Charlotte McKinney (Baywatch), Parisa Fitz-Henley (Luke Cage) and Austin Stowell (Catch 22).
