Bobby Cannavale joins Mr. Robot for season 3

March 12, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Emmy Award-winning actor Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire, Ant-Man) has signed on to the third season of USA Network’s acclaimed drama Mr. Robot, while BD Wong (Jurassic World, Gotham) has also been upped to a series regular.

“Season 3 of Mr Robot will engage viewers in a whole new way, with (director and executive producer) Sam Esmail and team continuing to find ways to surprise, challenge and delight the audience,” said Jeff Wachtel, Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “And adding Bobby Cannavale and BD Wong to our cast makes one of the tightest acting ensembles even stronger.”

“Sam Esmail is a true creative visionary who continues to deliver a series that boldly tackles timely issues and leans into the major headlines of the day,” added Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “We’re eager to share the next phase of Elliot’s journey with fans this fall.”

Mr. Robot is set to return to USA Network for its 10-episode third season in October.
