Boom! Studios announces Big Trouble in Little China/Escape from New York crossover

July 13, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Here’s some exciting news for fans of John Carpenter’s 80s classics Big Trouble in Little China and Escape from New York, as Boom! Studios has announced an upcoming six-part crossover series which will see Kurt Russell’s Jack Burton transported to the dystopian future of 1997, where he’ll team up with Kurt Russell’s Snake Plissken!

Entertainment Weekly reports that the limited series is being produced with the blessing of John Carpenter, who directed both movies, and will see Greg Pak writing and Daniel Bayliss handling the artwork. Check out the connecting covers for the first issue here…

In addition to the Big Trouble in Little China/Escape from New York crossover, Boom! is also set to publish two non-fiction books to mark this year’s 30th anniversary of Big Trouble in Little China, with The Official Making of Big Trouble in Little China set for release in August, followed by The Art of Big Trouble in Little China in November.
