Captain Marvel set in the 90s and features The Skrulls, concept art released

The Skrulls are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Revealed today during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the shapeshifting aliens have been announced as the villains in 2019’s Captain Marvel movie.

In addition to that big announcement, it was also revealed that the film will take place in the 1990s, and will see Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers joined by Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury – complete with two eyes!

Captain Marvel is set for release on March 8th, 2019, with Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) directing.
