Charlie’s Angels adds Djimon Hounsou and more

With filming getting underway this past week, we now have word on three additions to the cast of Charlie’s Angels, with Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jonathan Tucker (Westworld) and Luis Gerardo Mendez (Murder Mystery) signing on to appear in the big screen reboot.

The new film is being directed by Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect) and sees Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper), Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) and Ella Balinska (Midsomer Murders) starring as a new team of Angels working for the global security and intelligence firm the Townsend Agency.

Hounsou is set to portray one of the Townsend Agency’s multiple Bosleys alongside Banks and Patrick Stewart (Logan), while Mendez is playing a character called The Saint and Tucker’s role is being kept under wraps.

Charlie’s Angels is slated for release on September 27th 2019.
