Check out the original ending to Kevin Smith’s Red State, in animated form

If you’re familiar with Kevin Smith’s original plans for Red State, you’ll know that the filmmaker intended on an apocalyptic ending for the 2011 horror, with the trumpets heard in the final version of the movie actually signalling the beginning of the Rapture.

However, working on a budget of just $4 million, Smith was unable to realise his ambitions, but we can now get a glimpse of what he had in store thanks to Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Scene Unseen’, which provides an animated version of the original ending, complete with commentary from Smith.
