Check out the Sporty Mamba coming to Elite Dangerous

November 8, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Two new space ships are coming to Elite Dangerous: Beyond – Chapter Four which is currently in open beta on PC.  The first of these new ships, and the focus for the new special reveal trailer, is the luxurious Mamba, the Bugatti Veyron of spaceships.

The Mamba is based on an unreleased racing prototype and combines high speeds with devastating fire power.  This vessel costs a whopping 55,000,000 credits so don’t expect to get this from the off, however, once bought it will allow you to speed into combat, hit hard and escape before the target can react….. if it is still in a position to react.

The Mamba’s stats are:

  • 1 Huge, 2 Large and 2 Small Hardpoints
  • 5 Internal Optional slots
  • Top speed of 316m/s and a boost speed of 387m/s
  • 6.37LY laden FSD range

The second of the new vessels in Elite Dangerous: Beyond – Chapter Four is the Krait Phantom, which follows on from its sister ship Krait Mk II.  The Phantom is lighter and faster than its sister vessel and comes with a spacious cargo hold and a generous amount of hardpoints.  It has less firepower than the Mk II but can still hold its own in a fight.

Krait Phantom Stats are as follows:

  • 2 Large and 2 Medium Hardpoints
  • 8 Internal Optional slots
  • Top speed of 256m/s and a boost speed of 358m/s
  • 8.23LY laden FSD range
  • Approximately 37,000,000 credits

Both vessels will be available in Beyond – Chapter Four.
